The All Saints Educational Trust is an independent UK charity supporting people training to become teachers, teacher professional development, and education projects that strengthen teaching in Religious Education and Home Economics, including D&T food and nutrition, and textiles.

We supported Abby to train as a secondary Religious, Moral and Philosophical teacher at the University of Aberdeen.

The Trust enabled Liz and Adele to undertake the Level 7 Advanced Certificate of Professional Development in Food Education, delivered by Leiths Education and the University of Roehampton.

We funded the Textiles Skills Centre to work with primary school teachers to improve textiles teaching via targeted CPD.

"I can wholly recommend the work of The All Saints Educational Trust, which for over 40 years has supported individual students who wish to study and teach Religious Education, together with Home Economics and Food & Nutrition.

The Trust has also provided many grants for new projects to support and enhance the teaching of RE, Home Economics and Food & Nutrition. This valuable work has enhanced the careers of many students who have successfully applied to the Trust and the projects which have been supported have made significant developments in their respective fields."

Our main purposes in relation to Religious Education, Home Economics, and D&T food and nutrition, and textiles, are to:

  • help increase the number of new teachers with Qualified Teacher Status

  • improve the skills and qualifications of experienced educators

  • encourage action research to directly support classroom teaching

  • provide targeted support for teaching and learning
